Devon man charged with robbery from woman's vagina

A DEVON man has been charged with attempting to rob money from a woman’s private parts.
Paul Clint Wells, 38, appeared in court over the alleged bizarre incident, charged under section 1(1) of the Criminal Attempts Act for the offence of attempting to rob a woman of money of a value unknown from her vagina on June 17 in Torquay.
Wells, of Sandford Road, Torquay, was not required to enter a plea when he appeared at Torquay Magistrates' Court on Monday, June 22.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at Exeter Crown Court next month for trial

Never heard that Lily, i think originally it comes from gropecunt lane, which was an area of London used by prostitutes to play their trade. the word crops up a few times in the canterbury tales as i remember.

Its first extant use in writing come from the place name which is in Oxford not London (became Grope, then Grape and is now Magpie Lane.) It runs from the High Street towards Merton and used to continue past Christchurch. This was recorded almost 200 years before Chaucer.
I use the lane not the term every once in while.
The name is used elsewhere but those seem later.
But the word was in all likely hood in taboo use well before that.
